Bertha Hilma Olson

Berth H. Olson, 95, formerly of Prineville passed away on Thursday October 20, 2016 in Vancouver, Washington.  A service will be held on Friday October 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (695 NW 3^rd Street ~ Prineville).  Pastor Ted Moeller will be officiating.  Graveside service to follow at Juniper Haven Cemetery.

Bertha was born on December 11, 1922 in Havre, Montana to Henry and Bertha (Olson) Narum.   She met and married Henry Olson on May 16, 1942 in Sandpoint, Idaho.  They were married for 56 years.  Together they had 3 children; Eugene, LeRoy and Carol.  They moved from Idaho to Prineville around 1947 where they raised their family.

Bertha was active at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for many years.   She moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1998 and was active at Good Sheppard Lutheran Church.  Bertha enjoyed being a part of the quilting group and attending church activities.  She also enjoyed reading books, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, baking and spending time with her dog (Baby).

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, her sons; Eugene in 2009 and LeRoy in 1981.

She is survived by her daughter Carol (Jim) Park of Vancouver, Washington, four grandchildren;  Ben and Tammy Olson, Tim and Cammie Olson, Kim and A.J. Mackley, Kristie and Patrick Delo,  three great grandsons; Sean, Chase and Brice, three great granddaughters; Ashley, Zoey and Ada.
