Daniel Kieth Harris

Daniel K. Harris, 73, of Prineville passed away at his home surrounded by his family on February 27, 2018.  There will be a Celebration of Life at the Prineville Elks (151 N. Main St.) on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 10am.

Daniel was born on October 19, 1944 to James and Lucille (Shafer) Harris in Eugene, Oregon. He attended EV Cain School and Placer High in Auburn, California. Daniel enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1961-1966 in Vietnam.

Daniel married Rosemary (Garcia) in 1971. He worked as a drywall hanger, later owned his own business Cal-Vada Construction. They moved to Oregon and started Harris Drywall.  He retired in 2003. Daniel was a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa. He was an avid reader, hunter, fisherman and loved trap shooting. An Outdoorsman. He enjoyed traveling, camping and just being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by  his parents, sister Janice Claggett, brother Brett Harris and a grandson Brandon Lee.

Daniel is survived by his wife Rosemary of 47years. (July would have been 47yrs) . Sons, Clint (Ladele) Harris  and  Edward Harris.  Daughters,  Daniella (Corey) Rasmussen, Tobie (Andy) Price and Donna (Vic) Spradley.  There are 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Brothers Jack (Deanna)Harris ,  Gary  Harris and James Harris.  Sisters , Tana(Richard) Smith and Roseanne Ramsey.
