Donna Marie Chandler

Donna Marie Chandler, 68, of Prineville, passed away on Friday December 8, 2017. A memorial service will be held Monday at 2:00pm on December 18, 2017 at the Prineville Church of the Nazarene 780 E 1st Street, Prineville, Oregon. Pastor Ron Halvorson will be officiating.

Donna was born July 25, 1949 in Goldendale, Washington to Donald and Betty (Saxton) Shafer. In 1968 she graduated at the Goldendale High School, and then went on to study 3 years of college. She married Frank Chandler on September 8, 1978.

She worked as an office manager at KLCK radio station in Goldendale, Washington. In 1997, Donna received her Certificate of Ordination as a Deacon in the Church of the Nazarene. She was an Associate Pastor for the Church of the Nazarene in Goldendale, Washington and in Creswell, Oregon and Prineville, Oregon. Donna also worked as a church secretary until 2001. She then worked as the office manager at the Regency Village in Prineville, Oregon before retiring in 2014.

Donna was a very active member of the Prineville Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed organizing several events, teaching classes, and Bible studies. She liked to do jigsaw puzzles, sewing, crafts and reading. Loved family gatherings and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren with cards and gifts.

Survivors include her husband Frank Chandler of Prineville, Oregon, daughter Rebecca (Gary) Blagdon of Medford, Oregon, daughter Christine (Jose) Cardona of Medford, Oregon, sister Toni Reeves of Leslie, Arkansas, sister Terry Surratt of Goldendale, Washington, sister Karen (Angel) Garcia of Goldendale, Washington, stepfather F. Wesley of Goldendale, Washington, stepdaughter Pamela (Dan) Tilley of Yakima, Washington, stepson Frank A. (Bev) Chandler of Zillah, Washington, stepdaughter Cheryl (Gary) Schmale of Boring, Oregon, stepson Steve Chandler of Yakima, Washington, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald Shafer and Betty Wesley.
