Harriette Louise (Barclift) James

Harriette Louise James, 90, of Prineville passed away on Thursday April 27, 2017.  There will be a service on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the New Life Bible Chapel (510 NW 4^th Street) in Prineville.  Reverend Ron Hemphill will be officiating.

Harriette was born on February 19, 1927 to Charles Wesley and Blanche M (Hetrick) Barcliff in Versailles, (Brown County) Illinois. She attended high school in Orking, Washington and graduated in 1945.

She was a housewife and reared her family in the ways of Jesus Christ, her savior.  She was a long time member of Rebekah’s and the Grange.  Her hobbies included; homemaking, family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and friends.  She was involved in music; singing for funerals, church, public gatherings organizations and family.

Harriette was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Leo J. James, parents Charles W & Blanch M Barclift, brothers; James E Barclift Sr., Charles W Barclift Jr., Joyce T. Barclift, daughter in law Angela K James, granddaughter in law Kristina L James.

She is survived by her four sons; David L (Barbara) James, Larry J (Valinda)  James, Marvin W (Martha) James, William C (Laurie) James, two daughters; Myra (Sam) Heath, Helena Kirkpatrick, ten grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
