Wilma Jean Westmoreland

Wilma Jean Westmoreland, 70, of Prineville passed away on Monday October 17, 2016 from and enduring battle with cancer.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bobby Cox will be conducting.

Wilma was born on March 28, 1946 to Everett and Opal (Cook) Loveland in Witchita, Kansas.  She grew up in Kansas and California where she attended school.

She married Thomas W. Westmoreland Jr in 1962 and remained in love for 54 years.  She lived in California and Oregon where she raised her children then moved to Pahrump, Nevada after the children were grown.

Wilma and Thomas moved back to Oregon to retire in Prineville in 2004 and lived until she was called home to be with her loving Father in heaven.

Wilma loved to crochet and was an avid reader. She spent days and nights involved with making a new blanket or was intrigued within the pages of a good book.  She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Wilma loved her family and all the people she met along her journey of life.

Wilma is survived by her husband Thomas W. Westmoreland Jr., sons Thomas W. Westmoreland III and Everett R. Westmoreland, and her daughter Dawn Marie Westmoreland.  She was blessed to have grandchildren; Mason, Andrew, Zachary, Justin, Jordan, Joshua and great grandchildren Dylan and Malyah, also her only sister Eulah M. Wallis of Pahrump, Nevada.
