Carol Anne (Nikodem) McGarry

Carol Ann McGarry, 72, of Prineville went home to be with the Jesus she loved so much  on Saturday May 5th.  Carol was born to Frank and Anne (Nikodem) in Morgan Town, West Virginia on September 25, 1945.  There will be a memorial service held on Friday May 11th at 3:30 pm at the Prineville Assembly of God Church (835 S. Main Street).

She married Larry McGarry on February 12, 1966.  The moved to France and then Germany, where Larry was stationed in the Army.  It was in Germany that their first daughter Tanya was born.  After he was discharged, they moved to California, where their second daughter, Shawna was born.  After a move to Oregon their son Isaiah was born.  Larry and Carol went into full-time ministry and have been serving together as pastors in Paisley, La Pine, Canby, and Prineville.

There are few things that Carol loves more than Larry and serving the Lord by her grandchildren came in a close second! Michael, Matthew, Mark, Ethan, Kyle and Carter were the absolute joy of her life.

There was never a person that Carol wouldn’t stop and pray with.  She was a prayer warrior! She prayed about ALL things from the smallest to the biggest needs.  Although she will be greatly missed we celebrate that she is with Jesus.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Anne, father, Frank and brother, Carl.

The loved one she leaves behind are her husband, Larry, her children Tayna, Shawna (Wes) and Isaiah (Aubrey), her six grandchildren, Ethan, Kyle, Carter, Michael, Matthew and Mark, her sister, Noreen and brother, Frank.
