Darla was born on May 20, 1952 in Bremerton, Washington to James Elmer and Dora Verdell (Allen) Thompson. She graduated from Reynolds High School in 1971. Darla was a chef in her working days at the Elks, Mom’s Restaurant, Lakeside Restaurant.
She judged ADGA and 4-H goats, owned her Nubian and Lamancha goats since 1976. Darla was an avid painter and braided many a goat collar for the Crook County Fair. She was a 4-H leader for 25 plus years. She loved cooking and baking for everyone.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents, James E and Dora Thompson and her sister, Robin Thompson.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Eric Sather, Sons; Adam (Tana) Sather, Nathan (Rebecca) Sather, Grandchildren; Emily, James, Seth, Benjamin and Caden.
