Denise Marie (Denison) Reinhart, 64, of Prineville went home to Jesus on February 14, 2018. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 3rd at 1:00 PM at the Eastside Church (3174 NE 3rd Street) in Prineville. Dusty Flegel will be officiating the service. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the church.
Denise was born on April 27, 1953 to Bill and Violet (Hudson) Denison in Prineville, Oregon.
She went to COCC for 2 years and had several jobs before starting her career at the Forest Service. There, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Roland Reinhart. They married on May 3,1981. Although they never had children of their own, they both loved fiercely their nieces and nephews. Denise retired from the Forest Service in 2014 after 40 years of service.
She was very civic minded and for many years served on the boards for the United Fund, the Crook County Historical Society and Friends of the Library. She was in a Book Club where many books and laughs were shared. She was in the Toastmasters for 30 years and introduced it to Deer Ridge Correctional Facility in Madras. Every other Sunday she would give of her time in hopes of them learning better communication skills, and in turn better their lives, when they returned to society.
Denise was a member of Grace Gate Community Church in Redmond for the last 9 years. She had a desire to help anyone going on mission trips and always gave generously.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Debra.
Denise is survived by her husband Ken, her brother Russell, her sister Victoria as well as her nieces and nephews. Debra’s sons; Dustin and Derek Jones, Russ’s children; Heather Adams, Nicole and Justin Denison, Victoria’s girls; Michelle, Stephanie (McKinney) and Kelsey Powers, as well as Ken’s niece Sarah DeLay.
