Dwin Dale Dunkin, 79, of Prineville passed away on Monday November 19, 2018. There will be a viewing on Friday November 23, 2018 at Whispering Pines Funeral Home (3168 NE 3rd Street) from 4-8 pm. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday November 24, 2018 at First Assembly Of God (835 S Main Street) at 11 am. Interment will be held on Monday November 26, 2018 at 2 pm at Juniper Haven Cemetery (1555 N Main Street). Pastor Larry McGarry will be officiating. Dwin was born to Homer Richard and Martha Jane (Hinkle) Dunkin on September 21, 1939 in Logan, New Mexico. He attended Oakdale High School in Oakdale, California graduating from there in 1959. At a very young age Dwin started his own business with a crew that did service work for turkey farmers from the Sacramento area to Fresno, California. He had to hire a driver until he was old enough to get a drivers license.
He loved sight seeing, antiquing, playing rummy and bird watching. Dwin loved the Lord Jesus and he loved people. He like nothing better than seeing people meet Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Dwin was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Martha Dunkin, five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife JoAnn Dunkin of Prineville, his son Dwin (Ann) Dunkin of Nixa, Mo, two daughters; Deborah (Tim) Burroughs of Redmond and Kristin Dunkin of Prineville, grandchildren; Nate (Lexie) Cook, Hannah (Nick)Fish, Chris (Billie Jean) Cook, Mia Dunkin, Janie Dunkin, Paige Dunkin, Eliana Burroughs and Benjamin Burroughs, great grandchildren; Amity Endsley, Jayvin Krueger and Max Fish and sister Dwinda Gitthens of Prineville.
