James “Jim” Michael Hansen, 79, of Prineville, Oregon passed away on Sunday July 28, 2019. There will be no public services at this time. To offer the family your condolences please go to www.whisperingpinesfuneralhome.com

Jim was born on April 20, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri to Virgil Chris and Angelina Josephine (Cupito) Hansen. He graduated high school and then went on to do some college courses on animal husbandry. He was a truck mechanic during his working years. Jim loved fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Virgil Chris Hanson, his mother Angelina Josephine Hansen, and his brother David Eugene Hansen.

Jim is survived by his wife Ruby Jean Hansen of Prineville, Oregon, Sons; Jason Eric Hansen of Prineville, Oregon, James Keith Derrick of Terrebonne, Oregon, Michael Shane Derrick of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Shannon Ray Fleming of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Daughters; Danette Renee Hansen of Prineville, Oregon, Julie Ann Roop of Monmouth, Oregon, Susan Avon Dangannon of Lakeview, Oregon, twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild.
