Barbara Ann Lundquist

Barbara Ann Lundquist, 81, of Powell Butte passed away peacefully Sunday October 30, 2016 surrounded by her family.  A public viewing will be held on Friday November 4, 2016 at Whispering Pines Funeral Home (3168 NE 3rd Street) in Prineville from  2-6 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday November 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Shiloh Ranch Cowboy Church in Powell Butte (15696 SW Bussett Road).   Pastor Glenn Bartnik will be officiating.

Barbara, best  know as Barb, was born January 22, 1935 in Wenatchee, Washington to Charles A. and Grace P. (Johnson) Tierney.  She fought a courageous fight against cancer for the last 22 months.  Never being one to let life pass her by she spent the last months of her life traveling the United States with her family and friends.  She served as tour director, insisting on visits to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion Park, Monument Valley, Death Valley, Yosemite, Crazy Horse, Pikes Peak, Mt. Rushmore, Philadelphia, The Liberty Bell, New York, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, New Jersey, several trips to the Oregon Coast plus many  other historic and scenic sites in America.

Barb’s roll in life was that of a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, home maker and spouse to Lynn Lundquist.  Barb was active in the Oregon Cattlemen Association “Cow Bells” and attened the Shiloh Ranch Cowboy Church. 

Barb was preceded in death by her loving husband  Representative-House Speaker Lynn Lundquist, son Brian D. Peterson and grandson Seth L. Blankenship.

She is survived by her daughters; Barbi (Dony)Root of Centerville, Idaho, Brenda (Mike) Gangwer of Powell Butte, Ruth Ann (Larry) Lukenbill of Spokane, Washington, Torina Wilson of Bend, Oregon, sons; Robert (Kim) Lundquist of Powell Butte, Wm. Bradley Peterson of Prineville, Oregon, Daren (Beth) Kennedy of Mosier, Oregon, Concepcion (Hilda) Lopez of Terrebonne, Oregon, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren,  brothers; Charles (Bluetta) Tierney and John (Fran) Tierney.
