Bart Leon Lee

Man of Few words and short pants, Bart Lee  passed unexpectedly at his home in Prineville, Oregon on July 15th 2022. He was born in Newport, Oregon May 14, 1958. Bart grew up in Toledo, Oregon where he lived until 1987, when he and his family relocated to the city of Prineville.
Bart was a devout Christian and a true man of Faith.  In retirement he chose to serve his Lord, by serving others and those in need. He worked each week at the Redmond Seventh Day Adventist Community Services Food Pantry.
Bart had a 35 year career with the Oregon Department of Forestry where he put out fires of all types.  He began his career as a mechanic, ending his career as  the ODF Dispatch Supervisor for the Central Oregon Dispatch Center.  He was also a member of their incident management team #1 serving as their Logistics Section Chief.
Bart was a man of few words.  He could be found frequently hunting, or as he put it “hiking with guns”.  From a very young age he was a true “Cheese Head” and loved his Packers.  He enjoyed attending his grandchildren sporting events and wandering in the hills searching for the elusive morel mushroom.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee.  He is survived by his wife Linda of 42 years, their children Devin Lee (Christine), Kristyn Bryan (Jesse), 5 grandchildren, his mother Lorena Lee and brother Chet Lee (Debby). Bart will be missed by so many.
In honor of Bart, and in lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to the Redmond Seventh Day Adventist food pantry.  We would also encourage blood donations. Bart generously donated 14.1 gallons throughout his life.

Remembrance and Celebration will be held at the Redmond Seventh Day Adventist Church on Saturday July 30th at 3 pm.  To honor the true sport of who Bart was, the wearing of shorts is strongly encouraged.
