Blake Hirschmugl Obituary

Our beautiful son Blake, passed away at his most favorite place to be; the Painted Hills above the John Day River while he was camping with his dog Theo.

How do you say goodbye to your love, your baby, your everything? We were privileged to share his life for 23 ½ years.  We don’t understand why he was taken so suddenly from us or do not know how we’re going to go on in this life without him.

He’s our sun in our universe, the center of everything we are as a family.  We are so thankful that we got to see the incredible man that he is.  His gentle heart, tender spirit and love for his sister; Sydney and his family.  His devotion to his friends, his steadfast love for the Portland Timbers, his complete and strong love of God and his love and adventurist spirit for the outdoors, is truly inspiring.

Blake’s very favorite things were; spending time with family, his dog, kayaking, camping, hiking, playing his guitar and listening to a wide variety of music

He is our hero, love of our lives, our amazing son.  We can’t wait to see you again.

Love Dad, Momma, Syd and Theo the wonder dog.

Blake's Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 3: 5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."

"But I will be found; I will be found; When my time comes down; I will be found"  Blake's favorite quote from the John Mayer song "I Will Be Found (Lost at Sea) Paradise Valley Album.

In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal shelter or any pet rescue organization in Blake's honor.  Blake got his much loved Theo the wonder dog from an animal rescue organization.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
