Brent Allan Gregory

Brent Alan Gregory went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2026. He was born on February 19, 1949 in Astoria Oregon to Larry Gregory and Marilyn Iverson.

Brent graduated from Wilson High School in Portland OR in 1967. He joined the Army in 1968 and proudly served his country in Vietnam, being honorably discharged in May 1971.

He moved to Prineville in 1981 to raise his boys, Scott & Jeff, away from the Portland metro area. He met and married Sandy in 1984 and they blended their two families together.

He was a floor installer by trade, known throughout Central Oregon for his quality of work. He and Sandy opened Gregory Floorcovering in 1998. They sold the business in 2004 and Brent continued to do measures and installations for the new owners until his retirement in 2024.

Brent was passionate about many things. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and exploring the woods. In 2013 Brent killed a Boone & Crocket 76 2/8 antelope and ranked 388th in Oregon. He also tried his hand at skydiving, until he broke his hip. His greatest joy, though, was spending time with his family and friends.

Brent is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandy, 5 children, Scott (Cass), Jeff (Christine), Shane (Tammie), Tom (Michele) and Jenifer. He has 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who he loved so much and was so proud of. He is also survived by his brothers, Steve and Ricky, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister (Sandy), numerous aunts & uncles, his nephew, Brian, and cousin, Scott.

There will be 2 services for Brent. A memorial service at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Bend on June 19, 2026 at 1:00 and a Celebration of Life at the Elks Lodge in Prineville on June 20, 2026 from 1:00-3:00. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Humane Society of the Ochocos.
