Darwin Lloyd Ottele, 78, of Prineville, Oregon passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022.  There will be a Viewing on April 25, 2022, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Whispering Pines Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm at Juniper Haven Cemetery. Darwin was born on July 7, 1943, to Sylvester and Jessie Ottele in McMinnville Oregon.  He graduated from Willamina Union High School in 1961.  Darwin began to drive trucks in 1960 and his trucking career includes driving logging trucks, Walmart, and Les Swab.  Darwin was also a Police Officer for 8 years.

He loved spending time in the woods fishing, hunting, and camping. Darwin also enjoyed staying home and doing woodworking. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.  He was loved by many and will be missed.

Darwin is survived by his wife Lynda Ottele, daughters Launa, Theresa, Tracie, Jamie, Stepdaughters Shanin and Gina; Brothers Robert and James; Sisters Margaret, Iona, and Vietta; Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Sylvester and Jessie; Sister Glenna; Brother Ted, and Granddaughter Brittany.
