Dorothy McPhetridge

Dorothy Darleen McPhetridge, 73 passed away October 31, 2016.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M.  at the Powell Butte Community Center. 

Dorothy was born on August 18, 1943 in Bend, Oregon to Orrin and Mable (Corwin) Farlow.  She was the second oldest of four siblings.  She attended and graduated from school in Prineville.  Dorothy married Don Gill and had two children; Gary and Devonna.  After her divorce she married Randy McPhetridge and had one son Kevin.

She worked as a beautician for a time.  Dorothy spent most of her time raising her children.  In 1991 Dorothy and her son Gary operated a meat shop in Redmond for a while. When her grandchildren arrived she took on yet another adventure.  She took over the Tanning Salon that her and her daughter had.  She had been operating En-Tire Tan for a little over half of the 25 years they had the salon.

Dorothy made many amazing wonderful friends that have become family over the years.  Many of them have watched her children and grandchildren grow up.  Along with operating the salon she also took care of her beloved mother Mable who passed away two years ago at age 98 years and one day.

She is preceded in death by her husband Randy, son Gary, mother Mable, sister Delores and brother Danny.

Dorothy is survived by her son Kevin (Tawya),  her daughter Devonna (Roy),  grandchildren; Jordan(Dillon), Keenan, Taya, Chase, great grandchildren; Adyn and Adyliene.
