Elizabeth (Betty) Pladson

Elizabeth (Betty) Pladson 82, of Prineville, Oregon, passed away on July 31st, 2023.  She was born Elizabeth Lorine Mergenthal on August 3rd, 1940 to Walter and Alice (Steinlicht) Mergenthal in Hillsboro, ND. Betty graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1958 in Grand Forks, ND.  She graduated from Aeronautical College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1960. She married Donald Pladson on April 9th, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri. They had one child, daughter Wendy (Pladson)McCullough.

               Betty spent most of her career working at Frontier Airlines in Denver, CO, and also at Delta Airlines in Minneapolis, MN.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family.

               Betty is survived by her daughter Wendy (Fred) McCullough, grandchildren Marc (Nilda) McCullough, Kristen (John) Young, and great grandchildren Jade McCullough, Ruby McCullough, and Gwendolyn Young. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Donald Pladson on October 2nd of 2020.

               A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19th 2023 at the McCullough residence.
