Elvin Earl Spurling, 58, of Prineville, Oregon, passed away on May 2, 2025. Born on September 13, 1966, in Caldwell, Idaho, Elvin lived a life marked by creativity, devotion, and kindness.
Elvin was the beloved husband of Sandy Spurling and the proud dad of two sons, Anthony and Jonathan Spurling, all of Prineville. He is also lovingly remembered by his parents, Larry and Dorothy Spurling of Fruitland, Idaho, his brother Loren and sister-in-law Dawne of Bend, Oregon, and his mother-in-law Carol Carpenter of Prineville Oregon.
From an early age, Elvin showed a deep appreciation for art and design. Despite being colorblind, he pursued creative outlets with passion and determination. He enjoyed painting, working with stained glass, drawing, and photography—each medium offering him a unique way to express his vision. His love for home design began in high school during an art class where a teacher shared home plans, he had drawn. That moment sparked a lifelong interest that would shape Elvin’s creative pursuits.
Elvin was also a devoted student of the Bible and dedicated his life to Jehovah April 18, 1987. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and brought him strength and purpose.
Those who knew Elvin remember him as a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He had an infectious sense of humor that remained with him until his final moments. Always ready with a joke or a smile, Elvin brought lightness to every room he entered. His thoughtful nature and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Elvin Earl Spurling will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
