Fern Leona Hester

Fern Leona Hester, 94, of Prineville passed away on January 7, 2022. Fern was born on August 28, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio to Leonard and Ellen (Bowman) Johnson.  She married Lonnie Hester in 1947 and they had seven children together. Fern worked in the mill for 30 plus years while raising her family.

She enjoyed knitting, canning, gardening, volunteering, and teaching Sunday school.  Fern was dedicated to her family and the Lord. She made it a point to memorize all her grandchildren's birthdays and she would pray every night for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Hester, two sons; Robert Hester and Lonnie B. Hester.

Fern is survived by her son Dale Hester, daughters; Cheryl Street, Beverly Bishop, Barbara Bolstad, Julia Suther, 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 11 plus great-great-grandchildren.
