Gregory Wayne Sanders

There will be a memorial service for Gregory W. Sanders on Saturday - October 12, 2019 at 4:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene (780 E 1st Street - Prineville).  Pastor Andy Perriman will be officiating.

Gregory Wayne Sanders passed away on Friday, October 4 at the age of 55.  Greg was born in Bell, California on September 25, 1964 to Marilyn Sue and Barney Sanders.  Greg served in the Air Force from 1985 to 1988.  He attended Seminary and served as a Youth Pastor. He was later a Chaplin at Kansas City Rescue Mission for several years.  He went back to college to become a Marriage and Family Therapist.  In 2013 Greg moved from Arizona to Prineville to become the Executive Director of Redemption House Ministries, which provides local homeless shelters and meals.  Greg opened Prineville Family Center in 2016, where he practiced Marriage and Family Therapy.   

Greg was a big fan of the LA Dodgers and after many years he was able to attend a recent baseball game at Dodger Stadium.  Greg was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Sue.  He is survived by his father Barney, his wife Karla, his daughter Christina and her husband Chase, step daughter Kristie, sister Debbie, brother Michael and his wife Sarah, niece Catherine, nephew Brandon, and niece Ashley her husband Chris and children Hazel and Laura.
