James Robert Allison Jr.

James Robert Allison Jr. was born to Margaret Elizabeth Goff Allison and James Robert Allison Sr. on March 19, 1943, in Abilene, Texas. Robert lived the first part of his life mostly in Texas except for a few years in Arizona. In 1958 Robert met his future wife Jerry Mae McDonald and they were later married on June 1, 1960. While living in Abilene Texas Robert and Jerry had their first 2 children a son Joe and a daughter Jamey. In 1966 Robert moved his family to Northern Oregon where Robert and Jerry had 2 more children a son Robbie and a daughter Beth. The next few years Robert moved around with his family for work until he settled in Prineville Oregon in 1975. Robert worked as a contractor in Central Oregon where he worked on numerous projects thru out Central Oregon until he retired. Some of Robert’s favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycles, vintage cars, leather working, visiting casinos and spending time with family and friends enjoying music and good barbeque. Robert was Preceded in Death by his Wife Jerry Mae McDonald Allison in 2018, his Mother Margaret Elizabeth Goff Allison in 2003, his Father James Robert Allison Sr. in 1990, his Sister Carolyn Elizabeth Allison-Forrest in 2014, his Brother Donald Presley Allison in 1946, Granddaughter Samantha Allison in 1984. Robert Allison is survived by his Sister Charlotte Allison-Gatlin, his son Joe Allison and his wife Lori Ann Allison, his daughter Jamey Allison-Buker and her husband Benny Buker, son Robbie Allison and wife Laurie Allison and daughter Beth Kruse. Robert is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 23 Great grandchildren. Robert passed away on April 2, 2023, in Rapid City, South Dakota while on vacation.

There will be a graveside service held for Robert on April 28, 2023, at 2pm located at Juniper Haven Cemetery located at 1555 North Main Street in Prineville, Oregon. Following the Service there will be a Memorial Luncheon held for Robert at the Eagles Lodge at 235 North East 4th Street Prineville, Oregon.
