Leeland Robert Ashcraft

A life well lived, Lee Ashcraft passed away at Bend St Charles on November 4, 2023 with his wife and son and daughter by his side.  Lee Ashcraft, born January 29, 1958 to Daryle and Rae (Gumpert) Ashcraft in Prineville, Oregon, grew up in Okinawa, Japan, Cypress, Philippines, Germany, Virginia and Prineville.  He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and attended two years at Virginia Military Institute before he returned to Prineville.  He married the love of his life, Jane (Selby) Ashcraft on April 18, 1981.  Lee was a loving husband, dedicated father, awesome grandpa, and the best kind of friend anyone could hope to have.  Countless lives were enriched by his presence, his tireless efforts to lift up others through Church ministries, youth programs, and camps. Lee had a fire in his heart for God, his family, his nation and those that rubbed shoulders with him throughout life.  The fruit of his influence will have a lasting effect for those that knew him and shared life with him.  The story does not end here.  Lee was blessed with a family that shared his passion for serving:  his wife, Jane, son Jerred with wife Correy Ashcraft, his daughter Leslie with husband John Riley, two sons by choice, Kevin and Rory Odil, grandchildren Moriah, Rachel, Joslin, Randi, John, James, Matthew, Claire, Peyton.  His sisters, Darla Ashcraft, Lisa West, Laura Diane, Jean Dyer, Mary (Craig) Starnes.  His brothers, Randy (Tanya) Selby, Rick (Sharon) Selby, Dwight (Kim) Selby, Cory Ryder, Rick Buening and many nieces and nephews.  Many friends and co-workers at “The Mill”, Redmond and Madras Safeway.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Daryle and Rae Ashcraft, Bob and Janet Selby, his grandparents and nephew RoberLee Selby. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 @ 2:00 PM at Church of Christ at 1095 E 3rd St, Prineville with our pastor Gabe Bales from The Gathering of Prineville.
