She went to school in Nha Trang through the 8th grade and then finished school through the Vietnam school system. Her jobs included being a mother, personal care, Les Schwabs, and she also worked in a lumber mill.
Luong was the mother of five children, making sure everyone was taken care of before herself. She spent her life time working very hard, every day until her last day. She spent her last days filling the moments with memories of her loved ones. Luong came to the United States in 1975 with her husband. She was not sure what to expect. Luong built the American dream, but it was't easy, as many hardships and struggles even to this day. She gave her sons and daughter a better life, as well as her family back in Vietnam.
She loved cooking different kinds of food, cleaning, reading the newspaper and books, Vietnamese Musical Acts, knitting, crocheting, fishing, gardening and planting all types of flowers.
Luong on is survived by her husband of 32 years, Trieu V. Pham, her four sons, one daughter, four grandchildren and one grandchild on the way, and 2 great granchildren.
