Lynn Ellis Jay, 56, of Prineville passed away on Saturday July 16, 2016.  There will be a gathering at the Prineville Reservoir State Park on Friday September 16, 2016 at noon.   Presentation will be made by the Prineville Band of Brothers.

Lynn was born on September 16, 1959 to Ron and Marilyn (Ellis) Jay in Prineville, Oregon.  He graduated from Crook County High School in 1978 and went on to COCC for one year where he studied music education.  He was in the US Airforce serving as a cook from 1980 to 1990.  He worked in food service at several different restaurants and was a lab courier part time for CO Labs over his working years.

Lynn loved Oregon and was very proud to live here.  He enjoyed snow and water skiing during his active years, camping in state parks, traveling, road trips to anywhere, a cruise to Alaska or trips to Hawaii and Florida. Lynn also loved music and singing.

He was the sweetest, most gentle man who was very proud of his family. 

He was preceded in death by his father Ron Jay in 2015.

Lynn is survived by the love of his life Flora Ann (Bourret) Jay, son Christopher Lee Jay,  granddaughter Riley Morgan Ennis, mother Marilyn J. Jay, sister De Ann (Gary) Frazer, brother Tom (Marlise) Jay, niece Dianna White, nephews Michael Jay and Warren Jay.
