Michael Gagermeier Obituary

Michael James Gagermeier passed away, surrounded by family, on November 20th due to complications from cancer.  The world is truly less bright for his family and friends.

Mike was born June 7th, 1942, to Edwin Gagermeier and Eileen Hale Selbo in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.  He was one of nine brothers.  He is survived by brothers Robert (Kathy) Gagermeier, Felix (Carole) Gagermeier, Ken Selbo and Tim Selbo.

Mike met Linda Hollis, the love of his life in Prineville. They were married June 15th, 1963 and were looking forward to their 60th anniversary.

Mike enjoyed family, friends, traveling, camping and casino trips.  He looked forward to his yearly “6 pack” trip with Billie and Jim Hagins and Kathy and Will Hannemann.

Mike was always helping family and friends with whatever they needed.  A genuine loving and caring man.  He was very close to his in-laws Archie and Lola Hollis, brothers-in-law Ron (Judy) Hollis and Glenn (Terrie) Hollis and had a special bond with his sister-in-law Marilyn Hollis Capehart.

Mike worked as a lineman until owning and operating Prineville Heating & Cooling until his retirement.

Mike is survived by two children, David (Laura) Gagermeier and Lori (Roger) Lyle.  Five grandchildren, Stephanie (David) White, Travis Lyle, Merissa Gagermeier, Blake (Emily) John and Matt (Ravonne) John.  He was also blessed with 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda & family thank everyone for their love and friendship.  At this time no service is planned.

Mike enjoyed helping with Christmas in the Pines.  Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Christmas in the Pines, PO Box 168, Prineville, OR 97754.
