Mildred Ruth Graham, age 79, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2026. She was born on January 5, 1947, in Modesto, California, to Huel and Fannie Love. She spent her early years near Bakersfield, California, where she later met the love of her life, Robert Graham. The two were united in marriage on June 18, 1960, and shared 66 blessed years together.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, HB and Fannie Love; siblings George Love, John and Donna Love, Donnie Huffman, Sylvia Love; beloved family member Selwyn Hughes; and her precious grandson, Baby Nikolais Greer.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Graham; her siblings Melvin (Candie) Love, Dorthy Love Popp, and Kathy Huffman; and her children Connie (Jeff) Johnson, George Graham, Alice Hughes, and Bill (Hilda) Graham. She was lovingly known as “Grandma” and “Nana” to 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
In her youth, Mildred enjoyed playing softball, wrestling with her big brothers, and spending time with her dear friends Butch and Tiny Blair. She later retired from Midway Schools, where she served faithfully as a bus driver and custodian.
Mildred’s life was marked by deep faith and unwavering service. She became an ordained minister in 1997, and her ministry work reflected her compassion for others. She founded and operated a food bank in Bakersfield, served the homeless and children in need, participated in street ministry in challenging areas of Los Angeles, and contributed to the building of churches in New Mexico and abroad. Her greatest joys included family reunions, church involvement, Bible studies, and women’s retreats. She was also passionate about youth softball, both playing and coaching, and hosting youth camps.
She cherished time spent reading her Bible, attending church, camping with family and friends, traveling, visiting the beach, fishing, quilting, gardening, and enjoying games such as puzzles, Yahtzee, and dice.
A memorial service honoring Mildred’s life will be held on May 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Redmond Assembly of God, 1865 W. Antler Ave., Redmond, Oregon 97756.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Redmond Assembly of God Coffee Trailer, a ministry Mildred dearly loved.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” — John 5:24
