Naomi Maxine Brill Cummings

Born December 15, 1937, In Pine Ridge South Dakota to William Brill and Dora Bettelyoun.  She went home to the Lord on June 19th, 2023, at 85 years old in Prineville, Oregon.

Naomi grew up around Long Valley, South Dakota.  She attended the Pleasant Hill country school for primary school.  She and  siblings would ride their horses to school, turn them loose, and then later return home for the day.  In her free time, Naomi would spend her time with siblings riding horses and exploring the buttes in that area.  She enjoyed the long valley dances, rodeos, and most importantly family time.  Naomi and her siblings would ride their horses thirty miles away into Martin, South Dakota where they enjoyed the weekends together.  She later graduated from Martin High School in 1957 where she lived at her aunt and uncle's house and would return to Long valley on the weekends.  

Naomi also spent time in Emmett, Idaho; Vancouver, Washington; and around the Portland Oregon area in her younger childhood days.

Naomi Cummings and her husband (Clarence Swede Cummings) were high school sweethearts.  They married on June 8, 1957, in Rushville, Nebraska.  This union brought seven children.  (Sons) Robert Milton, James Dean, William Joesph, and Michael Clarence.  (Daughters) Sandy Dee, Debra Marie, and Theresa Kae.

Naomi's children moved her and their families to Prineville, Oregon in 1988.  They found their forever church family home at New Life Bible Chapel during this time, and she continued to serve the Lord until her passing.  

Naomi's occupations included working as a school cook, motel worker, hospital custodian, and in later years she worked in caregiving.  She worked as a  CNA at the nursing home in Prineville, Oregon in the dementia unit.  Naomi always loved caring for children as well as others. 

Proceeding her in death is spouse Clarence (Swede) Cummings, Sons Robert and James Cummings, Daughter Sandy Bailey, Daughter in law Rachel Cummings, Granddaughter Mary Siers, Great granddaughter Kerara HIcks, Great grandson Clayton Gray, Parents William and Dora Brill, Brothers Vhris, Clayton and Clarence Brill, Sister Cecilia Cummings, Four Brother in laws, two who were closest to her, being Edward-Dane Cummings and Robert Dixon. 

Surviving her are Sons and Spouses, William Cummings (Sundance, Wyoming), Michael and Marissa Cummings (Gillette Wyoming)>  Daughters and Spouses, Theresa and Bill Siers (Madras Oregon), Debby and Richard Hicks (Prineville, Oregon), Twenty grandkids and thirty six great grandkids.
