Rene Derwey Obituary

Rene Raymond Derwey, 86, of Sunriver, Oregon passed away May 22, 2022. Rene was born on November 24, 1935, to Rene and Mary Derwey in Milwaukie Oregon.  There will be a Memorial service at High Rocks Pub, 915 E. Arlington Street. Gladstone, Oregon,  97027 on July 23, 2022, from 12-4 pm.

Rene Derwey loved cars, he liked to work on cars and sell cars.  He owned his own GM dealership where he enjoyed working with people to sell them the car they wanted.  Rene also loved Boating, Camping, Hunting, and Fishing.  Some of his other hobbies included Billiards, he was competitive by nature and won many Billiard trophies.  Rene also liked to work with his hands.  He was an avid home repair guy.  He could do any repair that he put his mind to. Most of all Rene loved to watch and attend his grandkids' events, whether it was sports, birthdays, or holidays, you could be sure that Rene would be there for his family and friends.

Rene Raymond Derwey is survived by his wife Marie J. Derwey, Son Michael Derwey, Daughters Melanie Derwey, Traci Watson, Son-in-law Mario Mamone step sons Wade and Peter Adair, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews along with the mother of his children, niece’s nephew’.

Rene is preceded in death by his parents Rene and Mary Derwey, son Joseph Derwey, Brothers Hank, Joe, and Alfred, and sisters Rita and Jean.
