Robert Odell Heater

Robert Odell Heater, 65, of Prineville passed away on Sunday May 28, 2017.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Gate Community Church located at 1350 S Hwy 97 in Redmond, Oregon.  Reverend Cody Hamilton will be officiating.

Robert was born on June 18, 1951 to Guy Odell and Viola (Parks) Heater in Wolf Summit, West Virginia.  He moved to Prineville in September of 1959 and graduated from Crook County High School in 1969.  He attended one year of college at COCC. Bob worked for Coin Millwork driving a fork lift until disability forced retirement in 2004. He also worked for the Crook County School District during those years running the scoreboard and time clock. Bob will be remembered by many for his beautiful singing voice.  He was very active in his church group and music ministry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Guy and Viola Heater as well as two brothers; Kenneth Stacy and Larry Koon.

Robert is survived by one son; James (Michelle) Heater and two grandchildren; Levi and Selah Heater all of Cedar Park, Texas, four sisters; Jeannette (Ken) Lambert of Tangent, Oregon, Norma (Richard) Finley of Hillsboro, Oregon, Phyllis (William) Bitner of Prineville, Oregon, Betty Bickerstaff of Weirton, West Virginia, sister in law Eloise Stacy of Penrose, Colorado, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Bob’s memory to the Grace Gate Community Church Missions Fund through Whispering Pines Funeral Home.
