Robert Gene Dixon, 74, of Prineville passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020. There will be a service on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the New Life Bible Chapel (510 NW 4th Street) at 4:00 PM. Robert was born on November 8, 1945 to Glen V. and Viola L. (Lutz) Dixon in Novinger, Missouri. He grew up in Novinger, Missouri and attended the Full Gospel Church while living there.
In 1968 he married Delores Brill in Kirksville, Missouri. They went on to have two children, a daughter Lori and a son Allen. Robert was a Painting Contractor and was self-employed for 37 years until retiring in 2005.
In 1978 he helped start Christian Television in Gillette, Wyoming. He was also a member of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship, Bethlehem Community Church, Charismatic Christian Center in Gillette, Wyoming. He sang and played the guitar for praise and worship at the New Life Bible Chapel in Prineville, Oregon for 30 years.
Robert loved singing Gospel music and playing his guitar, time with his family, and studying the Bible. He also enjoyed woodworking, time in the mountains, camping and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Glen and Viola Dixon, Brothers; Vernon, Norman and Junior, and a sister; Shirley.
Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years; Delores, of Prineville, his children; Lori Ann (Calvin Jr.) Hack of Coos Bay, Oregon and Allen (Sophia) Dixon of Prineville, his grandchildren; Errin Law, Kiree Fletcher, Heather Carter, Calvin Hack III, Preston Washechek, Hannah Sharp and Austyn Dixon, his great grandchildren; Ryley Hodnett, Paisley Noland, Anistyn McLean, and Grayson Carter, his brothers; Melvin, Edward and Roger, and his sister; Karen.
