Stringer. She attended Gilbert Elementary and Floyd Light Middle Schools, graduating in 1979 from David Douglas High School. In 1985 she graduated from Portland Community College with an Associates Degree in Commercial Food Preparation. She worked at Dairy Queen and became active in the American Legion Auxiliary. She served as the Chaplain for several years; two of her Prayer Books were awarded First Place in the state competition and received Honorable Mention at the national level. Roxann also volunteered with the Oregon Red Cross. She was a fixture for many years at the community blood drives and received recognition at the state and national levels for her hours of volunteer work. She was a member of Bennett Chapel Methodist Church in Portland; Powell Butte Christian Church; and most recently, Ascent Christian Church in Prineville. She was known for her kindness and her sense of humor, as well as her work ethic and dependability. She especially loved children and animals, and they loved her.
