Sarah was born on September 22, 1930 in Chattanooga, TN to William McKinley and Daisy Willina (Adams) Bennett Sr. She graduated from Halls High School. During her working years she was a Tandy Leather Store Owner, worked in the Shoe and Clothing Department at JC Penny's, was a seamstress and a homemaker.
Sarah loved studying her Bible, her guitar, music, singing and gardening. She was loved by all that met her. She was a strong women, raising five children on her own. Sarah was a devoted mother and the Matriarch of her family. She played guitar and sang in her church. Her love and devotion to God was her strength and was a faithful servant all her life. A true warrior for God till the end.
She was preceded in death by William Joseph Collier (youngest of 5 children) Anita Gail Austin (3rd child) Albert Collier (father of all the children), brothers; Rev. George Clark, Will Bennett Jr., James Adams, J.L. Clark, Elmo Bennett, sisters; Loraine Shropshire, Edith Perry, Doris Jordan and Febee Bennett, her second husband Ralph Spencer.
Sarah is survived by her son Gerald Wesley Collier, her daughters Karen Almeta Lawson and Ellen Frances Jakab, grandchildren; Crystal, Kimberly, Adam, Danny, Billy, Ronnie, Albert and five great grandchildren.
