Shirley Anne Blanchard, 76, of Prineville, passed away on Saturday, September 18th, 2021, at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon. A graveside service will be held at Juniper Haven Cemetery (1555 N Main Street) at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 18, 2021. Pastor Dusty Flegel will be officiating the service.
Shirley was born on April 11th, 1945, in Salem, Oregon to Everett and Roberta Romane. Shirley Anne Romane married Larry David Blanchard on September 27th, 1963.
Shirley worked many different jobs for her community, including at Oregon Stationary, being the Fair Coordinator at the Crook County Fairgrounds for some time, and was President of the Prineville Soroptimist Senior Center. She owned and operated her own ceramics shop, “Rainbow Ceramics,” as well as “My Mortgage Guide.” She retired around 2008.
Shirley’s hobbies included ceramics, caring for her llamas and alpacas, making jewelry, and attending Saturday markets and craft fairs.
Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Jo Blanchard; her husband, Larry David Blanchard; and a sister, Virginia Romane.
Shirley is survived by her son, James Blanchard; her granddaughters, Amanda Mitchell and Amber Blanchard; and three sisters, Sandra Meske, Joyce Waibel, and Wanda Voutas.
