Webster ( Webb) Lynn Smith

Webster L. Smith, 76, of Prineville passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016.  There will be a graveside service on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville.  Tom Partin will be speaking at the service.

Webb was born on December 16, 1939 to Webster and Verda (Osborne) Smith in Prineville.  He attended school in Prineville graduating from Crook County High School in 1957.  Over his career he worked in Alaska building mobile home parks, US Forest Service in various guard and lookout stations, also owned and operated Santa Cruz Rug Cleaners for over 30 years in Santa Cruz, California.  After retiring he moved back to Prineville in 1991. 

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, rock hounding, estate and yard sales, picnicking and going on drives.  Webb was very devoted to his family and grandchildren.  He volunteered with the Special Olympics and at the Gilroy Garlic Festival.  He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Melissa Anne Smith in 2005.

Webb is survived by his wife Judy of Prineville, four sons; Craig (Kristin) Miller of Redmond, Todd (Tammy) Miller of Bend, Raymond Smith of Bend and Kenny Walter of Roseburg,  brother Ronald Smith of Powell Butte, sister Verda Radford of Prineville, five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
